Sports and Nature
Laos has a natural sense of adventure and great weather - time for outdoor activities!
Here at MICE-People, we believe that Laos’ nature and its people are its best selling points. We encourage interaction with the locals and the environment with a responsible approach.
This said, if you wish to incorporate some nature-based activities of any grade of difficulty from super easy and at the reach of everyone to more “hardcore” experiences, Laos has it all!
Rafting, trekking, bicycling, mountain biking, elephant safaris and caravans, kayaking, motorbike riding, climbing, caving, 4WD, it is all out there waiting for you.
Rice paddy fields, countryside off the beaten tracks, lakesides, rivers, pitches and other natural sites of great scenic value are widespread across the country for your maximum enjoyment. We have the expertise to design and operate tours in regions that will suit best your time, comfort, group size and level of fitness constraints.
If you would like to meet teams of local experts or amateurs in their sports and see them “in action”, or why not eventually contesting with them, we can arrange that too.
Petanque (French balling game, extremely popular in Laos), sepak takraw (rattan ball kind of volleyball played with the feet), Rugby Union (yes, no kidding with males or females opponents actually, picking up in Laos!), various martial arts like Judo, Taekwondo, Karatedo, Aikido or lesser known like Wushu or Pencat Silat and why not a major local side of football too!
Whatever your taste runs into, feel free to share your passion with us and we will strive to get you in touch with like-minded locals, whether Lao or expats.
